For all the information and lore that Project Aces has inundated us with recently – from Ace Combat Online and the 16-minute opening cinematic to the overview trailer – this is blissfully straightforward. “Rex” takes to the skies with Joker Flight, his squadron, taking out various targets (and the odd Superweapon) with missiles and slick aerial maneuvers. All of this is set to a rocking soundtrack that’s as emotionally striking as it is catchy.
