There have been quite a few details revealed about Destiny 2’s new expansion The Curse of Osiris. At Activision’s conference call for investors and analysts , the company stated that they were delighted with the success of Destiny 2 and apparently has multiple teams working so as to bring out new content for the game. The game is currently the best selling console game in the US. The game has also been a lot more profitable than the original Destiny, with statistics showing that consumer have spent more on the new game and that there has been an increase in average revenue per player.

Activision looks like they’re set to expand on this success as there has been a strong attach rate to the expansion pass which Chief Executive Officer Eric Hishberg saw as being indicative of fans’ continued interest and commitment in the game as players spend more time and money on Destiny 2.  The recent PC release of the game will surely bring in a lot of additional sales as well. As for the future, a lot of new content and new events are already in the works.

The game has been selling more copies via digital downloads and it seems that digital sales will be far ahead of even the original Destiny by the end of the year, according to Chief Financial Officer Spencer Neumann.

Destiny 2 is available for the PS4, PC and Xbox One. The Curse of Osiris’expansion is set to release on December 5th.
