Destiny

Activision has denied a story that emerged earlier today about Bungie planning to sell ammo packs in Destiny for real money.

Speaking to Game Informer, a representative from the publisher simply said, “We’re not doing that.”

The original source talked about Bungie selling ammo packs for Silver, acquired by spending real money and which is used for purchasing Emotes and cosmetic items during special events. Buying ammo packs like Heavy Ammo Synths is essentially verging on play to win, especially since these packs can be offered to factions for quickly ranking up and receiving weapons, armour, shaders and ships (all based on RNG, of course). It doesn’t help that Bungie has effectively nerfed the reputation gain for factions since The Taken King launched.

Regardless, this is one rumour we can put to bed. For now. What are your thoughts on Destiny and the general state of the game right now? Let us know in the comments.
