Nintendo has released a new trailer for upcoming turn-based strategy game Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The trailer, as part of the game’s marketing push leading up to its April 21 release date, focuses on showing off the Commanding Officers that can be used while playing as the Orange Star faction.
The trailer reveals the pros and cons of Orange Star’s various COs. The first one highlighted for example, Andy, is a well-rounded CO that doesn’t really have any weaknesses. On the other hand, Andy also doesn’t have any obvious strength that sets him apart from other COs. Andy is also able to use his Hyper Repair CO Power, healing all units by 2 HP.
In contrast, Max has access to powerful units that focus on direct combat. Max’s weakness lies in his indirect combat units, that are much weaker. Max is equipped with the Max Force CO Power, which raises the firepower of direct-combat units even further.
The third Orange Star CO, Sami, can has access to transport units that can move further, as well as infantry units that can capture properties faster than other COs. On the other hand, her non-infantry direct combat units have reduced firepower. Sami has the Double Time CO power, which gives her infantry and mech units bonus movement.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp has been getting a quite a few updates recently. The most recent showing showed off the game’s battles and map editor, among other things, while an earlier trailer provided a general overview of its gameplay.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is slated for release on April 21 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
