As the remaster of one of the most beloved strategy games ever made, Age of Mythology: Retold has had plenty of eyes on it since its announcement a couple of years ago, and after confirming earlier in the year that it would be out at some point in 2024 itself, at the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft offered another look at the game, while also confirming a specific release date.
Described as “an epic and innovative experience for old and new players alike”, Age of Mythology: Retold will modernize the original game with several new features and updates, which we get plenty of new glimpses of in its new trailer, chief among them being, of course, its instantly noticeable visual enhancements. Plenty of maps and factions are also shown off, as well as some of the high-flying, explosive battles that fans of the original will be familiar with.
Age of Mythology: Retold will launch on September 4 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will also be available via Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass day and date.
