From New Game Plus to Chapter Select, Remedy Entertainment has added a few notable new features to Alan Wake 2 with free updates since its release in October, and the developer has now confirmed that another one of those is on the way.

Given how gorgeous the survival horror title looks, many have asked for a Photo Mode to be added, and Remedy has confirmed that that is indeed in the works. Taking to Twitter, the developer revealed that a Photo Mode will be added to Alan Wake 2 as part of a free update, which is set to arrive “somewhere around spring.”

When exactly in spring it’ll release remains to be seen, but given the fact that it’s still a ways off, might Remedy be planning on pairing it with the launch of the first of two Alan Wake 2 expansions, titled Night Springs? We don’t have a release window for that either – other than 2024 – so it’s not out of the question, at least.

Remedy Entertainment recently announced that Alan Wake 2 has sold over 1.3 million units worldwide, becoming its fastest-selling game to date. Unsurprisingly, the studio has said it plans to “grow and expand” the Alan Wake franchise.

Alan Wake 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Read our review of the game through here.
