Alan Wake 2 is set to launch this October, and recently got is first in-game trailer at the PlayStation Showcase. Plenty of new details have also been revealed in the aftermath, with developer Remedy Entertainment sharing new information on the survival horror title’s story and two playable protagonists. Additionally, in an official FAQ, the studio has also revealed what the sequel’s post-launch support will look like.

Following its release, Alan Wake 2 will get free updates, though Remedy hasn’t elaborated on what that will entail. The developer has, however, confirmed that the horror game will also receive two full-fledged paid post-launch expansions. They will be titled Night Springs and The Lake House, though “for now”, those are all the details Remedy is willing to divulge. Presumably, more information will arrive in the coming months.

Alan Wake 2 is due out on October 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will be a digital-only release.
