For those of you who are unaware, Doki Doki Panic was the original game and name for Super Mario Bros 2, the game was originally supposed to be a vertically scrolling, two-player, cooperative-action game, but was scrapped later on. After a lot of trial and error, the developers thought it would be best to re-develop Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic back into a Super Mario Bros. sequel. The game went on to be a great success.
