PETA Mario

In Super Mario Bros 3, players were amazed at Mario’s ability to fly as well as knock enemies off with his massive tail. The costume in which Mario was able to execute these moves was known as a tanooki which is a Japanese animal that is a mix between a dog and a raccoon. PETA of course got wind of this and decided to act in Planet Earth’s interest and targeted Nintendo for animal skinning, because they are under the impression that Mario must have skinned it for animal fur.
