Historically, AMD’s weakness against Nvidia has not been their actual GPUs- they have great products offered great, market friendly prices. It has not been innovation, because AMD has been responsible for some of the greatest advances in the computing market over the last 15 years. No, as far as their GPUs go, AMD’s biggest weakness has been their software and driver support, as well as the overall experience of actually using their cards.

They’ve been working on this over the last two years, introducing a new major client for driver and GPU management every year, and then iterating on it over the next year, before overhauling it with a new one again. For this year, their overhaul will be called AMD Raedon Software Adrenalin Edition- and it will be out in December.

AMD has shared a brand new trailer for it, which you can see for yourself below. Hopefully, it brings a user interface and experience comparable to Nvidia’s to AMD users.
