Amnesia: Rebirth Developer Says They Are Working On A Second ‘Crazier’ Project

That's some bold words.

Amnesia Rebirth

Last week came the announcement that the horror series Amnesia would be returning with Amnesia: Rebirth. The game will follow Tasi Trianon as they are on the run from something that feeds on the very concept of terror. The franchise is known for being a pioneer in a different type of survival horror focused on running from, and survival against, unbeatable foes as opposed to finding out ways to best kill your enemies. We look forward to hearing more from that, but it seems developer Frictional Games has more cooking.

In an interview with Vice Games, Creative Director Thomas Grip talked about Amnesia: Rebirth. There he dropped some unexpected news that the developer actually has another project in the oven, and he describes it as even crazier than what we’ll see in this upcoming entry.

“I knew we wanted to start with Amnesia because that felt like we [had] at least enough foundation [to work with], but we didn’t want to go totally crazy with one of our new projects,” said Grip. “The other project is more crazy, but more on that down the line.”

Considering how wild some of the Amnesia games got, that’s quite the bold statement to make I’d say. It seems we won’t find out what that game is, though, until probably after Amnesia: Rebirth releases, which it’s scheduled to do this Autumn for PS4 and PC. We’ll keep you updated.
