Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons received a major update this month that adds new reactions, clothing and seasonal items. There’s also the Festivale Event where players collect feathers for Dancer Pave. However, the next update is already being teased and may turn out to be a bigger deal, especially for Super Mario Bros. fans.

Nintendo of America recently tweeted that the game’s next update was scheduled to launch in March. More information would be revealed in the coming days but the attached image features the Mushroom and Power Star from the Mario series. March 10th also happens to be Mario Day, where fans celebrate everything about the franchise.

This could likely end up being another infusion of new items related to Mario or a limited-time hunt for resources to redeem for said items. Stay tuned for more details regardless. Meanwhile, Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to be a massive success – it’s sold 31.18 million units since launch and recently topped UK physical sales charts again.
