When Anthem launches, it will not have armor sets available right off the bat. This news comes to us courtesy of BioWare’s Lead Producer Ben Irving, who was responding to a fan question. To be clear, all this means is that full armor sets will not be available at launch. I have to imagine (and hope, given Anthem is the kind of game that it is) that they will be added shortly afterwards.
What will also be added to the game afterwards will be more Legendary Weapons—I say more, because the game already has about a 100 of them, which is a fairly substantial number to begin with. This news also comes to us courtesy of Irving responding to a fan on Twitter, and seems to indicate that players hunting for Legendary weapons won’t find themselves wanting come next month, when the game is out.
Hey, maybe Legendary weapons can keep them busy until Armor sets make it into the game, as well as Raids, which also won’t be available right at launch.
Anthem launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 22.
