The Old Ways event may be over but Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends will be getting a new limited-time mode starting tomorrow. Dubbed Battle Armor, it will see only one armor type available through matches. Players will drop in with a P2020 handgun and said armor type equipped.

While you’ll find shield cells/batteries and other items as per usual, there won’t be any higher tier armor to pick up. This puts players on a relatively even playing field in terms of durability. Every three to four days, however, the armor type for a match will change so expect to see everyone running around with Legendary shields or Evo shields at some point.

The Battle Armor event will run from tomorrow till May 12th with World’s Edge serving as the main arena for combat. Coincidentally, that’s the same date that Season 5 starts. Respawn has promised a “pleasant surprise” for fans of Titanfall in the next season so stay tuned for updates on the same.
