Apex Legends had a pretty successful second season (though it wasn’t without its controversies), but you have to move quickly nowadays, and we’re already on the verge of the game’s third season. Today we got some details on when the season will start and what it will hold.

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced that the season, called Meltdown, will launch at the beginning of October. It will include a new Legend, which we’ve already seen briefly in the game (this is also the first time he’s been officially referred to as Crypto), battle pass, weapons and Ranked Series 2. That’s all we know now despite the season starting in less than two weeks, but more information is slated to come soon. We’ll keep you in the loop.

Apex Legends is available now to download for free with season 3 slated to start October 1st. A physical release of the game will follow afterward on the 18th.
