Respawn Entertainment recently debuted the first gameplay trailer for Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem, which sees the debut of Fuse, a new Legend. The trailer stands out from the rest due to its old-school action movie-style narration and explosions. There’s even the usual worlds “In a world…” to kick things off. Check it out below.
Fuse is an intriguing new Legend – he possesses a wrist-mounted launcher of sorts (which seems capable of one-shotting a target). His Ultimate is an explosive launcher which blankets an entire area in fire. A more detailed breakdown of his skills will likely come later so stay tuned.
Other new features of Season 8 include the 30-30 Repeater, a lever-action rifle which can potentially one-shot an enemy with a headshot; the ruins of King’s Canyon as a newish map; and new skins for Legends like Bangalore and Lifeline. Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem launches on February 2nd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC but it’s also seemingly coming to Nintendo Switch as per a recent Amazon Japan listing.
