Apparently, There Is A DriveClub Closed Beta Happening Right Now

Why can't I get in?

DriveClub

DriveClub may have been delayed by nearly a year from its original promised release date (I remember when it was supposed to be a PlayStation 4 launch title…) but at least it looks like a much better game that benefitted from the delay because of that. And now, it seems like some lucky PlayStation 4 players are getting the chance to play it at random. There is apparently a closed beta of the game going on currently, codenamed Cupcake, and some players are being offered the chance to try the game out before it releases in August.

As to exactly how these players are being selected, or what the criteria is, we don’t actually know, although it’s probably a safe bet to say that you need to be a PlayStation Plus member to qualify, given that the game is going for a persistently online, dynamic and growing game world. We’ll keep you posted on if the beta ever goes wide.
