Exclusive features for PS4 and Xbox One leaked; surprisingly, Xbox One features seem to be better.

Someone was very careless-  leaked documents from CD Projekt RED (apparently leaked through a developer’s Google Drive– so much for that power of the cloud, eh?) indicate that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may be getting some exclusive features.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the final episode of The Witcher trilogy, which will see the end of Geralt of Rivia’s adventures. It follows the original Witcher game, and its highly acclaimed 2010 sequel, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The third entry marks the first time that the game is hitting consoles as well as PC right from the get go, and the developers at CD Projekt RED, it seems, are willing to make an impression.

The Xbox One version, for example, will feature Kinect and SmartGlass support- we already knew this, but we did not know the extent. So, for example, while playing The Witcher 3 on Xbox One, SmartGlass will haver accompanying commentary of whatever portion of the game you are playing, which sounds very cool. The PS4 is slated to DualShock 4 Lightbar support, as well as support for ‘other PS4 features.’ Notably, support for the PS4’s features is all marked as ‘Maybe.’

In any case, having exclusive features of any kind would fly in the face of CDPR’s assertion that all three versions of the game will be identical, so it remains to be seen whether any of this ever actually materializes in the final product.
