Arise of Awakener

Gamera Game has announced a new third person action RPG set in fantasy medieval times called Arise of Awakener. Announced at Tokyo Game Show 2021, it’s developed by Taner Game and slated to release in 2023 for PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out the first trailer with early development footage below.

Arise of Awakener offers three playable characters (though they sound more like classes – Warrior, Archer and Mage. Along with fast-paced hack and slash combat against all kinds of foes, players can also ride on dragons. As many have pointed out, there’s a kind of Dragon’s Dogma vibe with how aggressive the combat is, whether you’re a Mage or Warrior.

There are towns to explore to explore, chests to loot, resources to collect (and mine) and much more. And if riding on a dragon, flying over the landscape isn’t your thing, then you can still engage in mounted combat on horseback. More details are definitely needed though so stay tuned in the coming days.
