Given all the announcements of titles for the PlayStation Vita, which includes indie titles like N++ and Wasteland Kings along upcoming high profile releases such as Murasaki Baby and Borderlands 2, Sony also showcased one of the more hyped features surrounding the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita – Remote Play.

However, at Gamescom 2013, the company decided to show off just how it would work using Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Check out the gameplay footage above and decide for yourself whether it’s good enough to warrant purchasing a Vita (if you don’t have one already) in order to take advantage of Remote Play.

Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is set to release for Wii U and Xbox 360 on October 29th as well, along with next gen releases on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to be revealed shortly. Stay tuned for more announcements from Sony’s Gamescom 2013 presser – it’s not over just yet.
