Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (4)

A new trailer debuted for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, which is out on July 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and it gives us a new look – or rather, listen – at the new theme, “Woodkid.” Titled “Leave Her Johnny” Resynced, it contains some familiar refrains of the classic Assassin’s Creed music, and fits very well with what’s happening.

We see Edward Kenway asked if privateering is dangerous – to which he responds that it wouldn’t be worthwhile otherwise. Leaning on the “collective madness” of his crew, he decides to pursue a dangerous mission. Underneath all the ship combat and celebration, there is a sense of foreboding about a fate that none of them can escape.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a ground-up remake of the 2012 classic on the latest Anvil Engine. It has the same story but with new scenes for Edward, new side quests focused on his beloved companions, and even some new characters to recruit as officers on the Jackdaw. Combat is completely overhauled with new weapon types added, and there are even new endgame missions which see Edward going up against a legendary pirate hunter.

Thus far, it’s shaping up quite well. You can check out our latest feature and learn more about the naval combat here.
