Ubisoft has released the launch trailer ahead of the release for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Check it out above for more of Captain Edward Kenway’s swash-buckling tactics.

Taking place after the events of Assassin’s Creed III in the modern world, the Animus portions will see players taking control of Connor’s ancestor. Edward Kenway, unlike his descendant, gives especially less of a damn than most pirates and is all about raiding forts, assaulting naval ships, stabbing sharks and just outright spreading his rule across the Caribbean.

You can check out the first review for the game here, which is very favourable. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will release worldwide on October 29th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be releasing on October 29th in North America and November 22nd in Europe for the Wii U, with the PC version releasing on November 19th in North America and November 22nd in Europe. It will also launch on November 22nd for the Xbox One, with a PS4 release on November 15th/22nd.
