Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage earlier this year, but along with several other things, one key thing we don’t know about the open world stealth title is when it will be coming out. Officially, the publisher has given it only a 2023 launch window, though previous reports have claimed that it’s targeting a Spring 2023 launch, which allegedly followed a delay from February.

Now, it seems the game has been internally delayed a second time. In a report published on Insider Gaming, journalist Tom Henderson claims Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been hit with another delay behind-the-scenes, and is now targeting an August 2023 launch date, which would make it nearly three years between its launch and the launch of the last new game in the series, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (which released in November 2020).

Recently, Ubisoft released the final content update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which also includes a new side quest that ties into the upcoming Mirage. Read more on that through here.

Meanwhile, it’s also been reported that Assassin’s Creed Codename RED is facing development issues behind the scenes, while Codename HEXE moves closer to full production. Read more on that through here.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will retail at $49.99 upon launch.
