If you’re not one of the reported five million (and counting) players to have tried out Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a free trial is live now. It’s available until April 30th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC and allows for two hours of playtime with progress transferring over to the game.

Launched in October 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a throwback to the classics with a return to a more compact setting, stealth-focused missions and urban parkour. It takes place in ninth-century Baghdad, as thief Basim joins the Hidden Ones to tackle the Order of the Ancients. Playing out before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, it fleshes out Basim’s backstory as he learns more about himself.
