Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has continued to get masses of content post-release, with the next three-part expansion’s (Fate of Atlantis) first episode coming April 23rd, being a de facto replacement for a mainstream title release in 2019 (with rumors swirling that next year we’ll get a Vikings-inspired entry in the series). But it looks like there’s even more coming potentially, with a deleted post coming from Community Manager Dominik Voigt that Reddit posters managed to spot, stating the game would get a Story Creator Mode.
The post didn’t have much details about what it entails, just that it would be a community-generated content feature that will be available to all owners of the game at a later date. Odyssey has taken the series in a much more RPG-like direction, with the inclusion of choices, the biggest and most obvious being whether you want to play as a female or male protagonist, so the move is pretty much in line with Ubisoft Quebec’s handling of the game.
For now, there’s no official announcement, so take this report with a grain of salt. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
#AssassinsCreed Odyssey to receive a “Story Creator Mode” which further emphasizes on player choice, according to a post by Community Manager @domvgt on the Social Pulse. Apparently, this is what’s the “story mode” option (seen in previous monthly updates video) was likely about pic.twitter.com/hELAqFjrvK
