After leaking on the game’s Steam listing earlier this month, Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ first expansion, Claws of Awaji, has received its first gameplay trailer. It’s out later this year, with pre-orders receiving it for free.
The expansion ventures to a “mysterious island” to reclaim a “lost treasure.” The specifics are unknown, but players can utilize a new weapon type, the Bō. Players can also unlock new skills, abilities, and gear while dealing with admittedly spooky new threats.
Claws of Awaji promises over ten hours of additional content, which is a pretty good deal. Pre-orders also receive a bonus quest, Thrown to the Dogs, which involves befriending an injured canine and, presumably, seeking vengeance on those responsible, John Wick-style.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on March 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out the latest story trailer showcasing the first meeting between Naoe and Yasuke. You can learn more about other gameplay aspects, like the exploration and parkour in the meantime.
