Assassin's Creed Shadows - Year 1 Roadmap

Following the immense success of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft has released its Year 1 roadmap for the open-world action RPG, outlining upcoming content up to June. It kicks off in early May with a new story quest, “The Works of Luis Frois,” a Codex update and quality of life improvements.

Later in the month, players can expect new parkour moves like height-gaining back and side ejects, alongside a new jump for grabbing onto vertical edges like awnings. Photo Mode will also receive new filters, character poses and expressions.

June adds the second free story quest and a new ally for the League. It also introduces new options for difficulty and gameplay immersion (like turning off outlines during stealth sections). If that isn’t enough, the castle alarm system will be added to the open world.

As for the future, Ubisoft will add New Game Plus, collaborations, Animus content, new story drops, and more. The Claws of Awaji expansion is also out later this year, though a release date is still pending. Of course, the in-game store will receive new content as well.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review, where we gave it a nine out of ten.
