Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The boats of war are now adrift as Ubisoft has announced the next entry in their historical fantasy series, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game will take place in the Nordic regions during the 9th century and promises lots of viking goodness as well as the usual sci-fi shenanigans. It is a true, blue AAA production as well, and we got the details and screens to prove it.

You can see a set of screenshots showing some of the characters and settings. We’ll most likely get a closer, and actually in motion, look next week at the Xbox Series X event being held May 7th.

Much like all major Ubisoft releases, the game will also have a season pass as well as a big Collector’s Edition. The season pass will come as either a separate release or as part of the Gold, Ultimate or Collector’s Editions. It’s not detailed what will be in the pass outside new gear, content lands and a new story mission. The Ultimate Edition will also have exclusive Berserker items and runes.

The Collector’s Edition will add a statue of the female version of the main character with her boat, select tracks from the soundtrack, an exclusive steelbook, collector’s case and three lithographs displaying artwork. You can see that below alongside the screenshots. As of now, the Collector’s Edition seems to be exclusive to the Ubisoft Store through here.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated to come out this Holiday season and will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. You can pre-order the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the editions mentioned above now. Next generation console versions have not gone live as of writing this.
