The next game from Japanese developer PlatinumGames, Astral Chain, will be here at the very end of this month and, as always, the company is promising some fast-paced and fun action that will satisfy those craving some stylized action. Today we got a new trailer to whet the appetite a little focusing on the game’s unique partnering system.

The trailer features a brief introduction of the Legion, creatures in the world of Astral Chain that you use in combat in a variety of ways (if you’re interested in the a breakdown of the basics there you can check that through here). Then it jumps into what we really want to see with your player character using the Legion to cause all kinds of havoc. You can create all kinds of devastating attacks in conjunction with your Legions in their many forms, from swords to massive energy turrets.

Astral Chain releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on August 30th. Curious about what you need to know about the game going in? We’ve got you covered, with 15 different things that’ll get you up to speed.
