Astro Bot Trailer Hypes up Imminent Launch

Sony and Team Asobi's highly anticipated platformer will launch for the PlayStation 5 on September 6, with reviews going live a day earlier.

A full-fledged console entry in the Astro Bot franchise is something fans had been hoping to see for years, and we’re finally about to see that dream realized. Astro Bot is launching in a week’s time, and ahead of its looming release, Sony has released a new trailer to commemorate its imminent arrival. Check it out below.

Touted as a 12-15 hour experienceAstro Bot will feature over 80 levels across multiple different galaxies, coming in three different difficulty levels and touting more than 70 new enemy types, 300 bots to rescue, and a large number of cameo appearances and even levels based on other first-party PlayStation franchises, including the likes of Bloodborne, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, and more.

As revealed in the launch trailer below, players will also be able to use certain characters’ abilities, like being able to use Kratos’ Leviathan Axe. The game will also receive free post-launch DLC that will add new levels and speed run trials.

Astro Bot launches on September 6 for PS5, and there are no plans to add PS VR2 support. It will be priced at $60. Reviews for the platformer go live a day before launch, on September 5
