Atlus Looks Set to Bring Another Game to PC

Atlus recently added another game to its Steam library, which could suggest that it's set to bring another game to PC soon.

Atlus has made notoriously baffling decisions with startling consistency over the years, a lot of which has boiled down to its refusal to publish its acclaimed and in-demand games on additional platforms. Recently, however, things have begun turning around. Persona 4 Golden launched for PC via Steam last year and performed exceptionally well, following which Sega has said that it will look toward similar releases for Atlus games on PC and other platforms going forward.

And it seems that another one of those might be coming soon. As spotted recently by Twitter user @regularpanties, Atlus recently added a new unknown game to its library on Steam. Where previously that library had a collection of 13 games, it now shows that number at 14, suggesting that files have been added to the database for the release of a game that could be announced soon- perhaps at The Game Awards?

Of course, there are plenty of questions about what this game could be, if this does indeed happen. Interestingly, an Atlus game simply called “Project Pen” recently received a classification rating, and as spotted by a Reddit user, that classification is pretty much identical to the one for Persona 5 Royal, which makes it a likely candidate here.

Meanwhile, Atlus recently also announced 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim for the Nintendo Switch, so it’s possible that that could arrive for PC as well. Recent reports have also suggested that the Switch-exclusive Shin Megami Tensei 5 will, at some point, release for PS4 and PC, though it might be too soon after the game’s launch right now for additional versions to be announced.

Either way, we’ll keep an eye out for more new details, so stay tuned for any and all updates.
