Atomic Heart 2

Mundfish has announced a sequel to its 2023 first-person shooter, Atomic Heart. Atomic Heart 2 is coming to consoles and PC, although a release window has not been confirmed.

Developed on Unreal Engine 5, it’s described as a spiritual successor to the first game, taking place on a global scale. There’s a greater emphasis on role-playing mechanics, and based on the trailer, new mechanics include a greater variety of vehicles, a glider, and many more new locations. Major Sergey Nechayev, known as Agent P-3, seemingly returns, but his role remains to be seen.

Stay tuned for further updates, which may take some time, especially given the first game’s lengthy development cycle. The first game is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Check out our review here. It’s seen the release of several post-launch story DLC packs, further building on each ending while adding new weapons and locations to explore.
