Atomic Heart

Mundfish’s long-in-development first person shooter Atomic Heart has received a new trailer, showcasing its alternative retro-future take on the Soviet-Union. However, while the gameplay looks good, the title’s release window has been narrowed down. It’s out in “#######ber 2022,” which means sometime between September to December this year.

The story sees Major P-3 infiltrating the Soviet Facility 3826 after its machinery goes haywire. It’s overrun with hostile robots and strange machines so you’ll need to be creative in how you deal with them. From using the environment and objects to different abilities – like freezing – and melee weapons, it’s a fight for survival.

Though they can be discovered, the Chaiko 3.0 helps to craft additional melee and ranged weapons. There are more than 30 types of weapons available and mastering their different properties will be key to overwhelming foes. Atomic Heart is slated to release for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC along with launching day one on Xbox Game Pass.
