Massive Entertainment’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has officially gone gold. Publisher Ubisoft announced the news on Twitter, crediting the developer and its worldwide co-development studios (which include Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Montpellier, and many more).
Based on James Cameron’s blockbuster movie franchise, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora sees players controlling a Na’vi raised by the RDA (the evil faction of humans occupying the planet). After being left in a facility for 15 years, they awaken and learn about their roots, exploring Pandora’s Western Frontier and leading its tribes against the RDA.
Unlike Tom Clancy’s The Division, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is in first-person (find out why here) with extensive mobility options, firearms, and mounts like the Ikran to fly around in. Head here for more details, and check out some gameplay here. You can also learn about the PS5-exclusive features like DualSense support and 3D audio.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora launches December 7th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
