Tomb Raider: Shaky Cam
Another effect that the film industry uses but with extreme caution is dubbed the shaky cam effect. As the name indicates, this is where the game camera shakes vigorously with respect to the character. Although this effect is used in cases where the developers plans to put the player on the edge of the seat, it ultimately makes it difficult to keep track of certain objects and characters. One game, in particular, that uses this effect is the Tomb Raider (2013), which you can check out above.
