Shepard killed 300,000 people
When the whole galaxy is depending on you, there are times when you have to make hard choices, choices that can ruin the lives of an entire species. In Mass Affect 2 DLC: Arrival, Shepard learns that the reapers will enter the earths’ atmosphere in 72 hours and as such is forced to make one of the hardest decisions that will alter the fate of an entire species. The Alpha Relay was located on the Batarian system and as such the Reapers could use it to travel anywhere in the galaxy in a flight speed. Shepard did his best, but ultimately, failed to save 300,000 Batarian civilians during a nearly desperate attempt to stop an imminent Reaper invasion.
