Thirty years ago, Back to the Future was released. The classic time traveling science fiction movie has since become firmly embedded in pop culture and mainstream consciousness, and continues to be an all time cinema classic.
Like a lot of properties that are this big, Back to the Future also got some video game adaptations. The most notable of these was the Telltale developed adventure game, that launched for the PC and Wii last generation. It will finally be playable on this new crop of consoles, too, as Telltale has confirmed that to celebrate the movie’s 30th anniversary, they will be bringing an enhanced edition of the game called Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition to PS4 and Xbox One.
Apart from the usual visual upgrades, the game features updated voice work, the game will also come with a behind-the-scenes video featuring interviews with movie trilogy co-writer and producer Bob Gale, original movie cast member Tom Wilson, members of the development team, and AJ LoCascio – the voice of young Marty McFly.
Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition will be launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 digitally on October 13, and at retail on October 16.
