Baldur's Gate 3 (12)

Larian Studios announced a new date for the early access launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 yesterday, this time targeting September 30th. It will be available for both Google Stadia and PC, and include a hefty amount of combat encounters, dialogue and NPCs. The Steam page has also revealed the hardware that PC players will need to run the game.

Minimum requirements include an Intel i5-4690 or AMD FX 4350 along with 8 GB memory and an Nvidia GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 280X. The recommended requirements include an Intel i7-4770K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X with 16 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1060 with 6 GB VRAM or an AMD RX580. In both cases, players will need 70 GB of available hard disk space.

One important thing to note is that the minimum requirements may become even lower over time with improvements to performance. How long that will take remains to be seen but Larian Studios has been fairly good with optimization for its games. Stay tuned for more details on Baldur’s Gate 3 early access in the coming month.
