What happened at Arkham City’s end? Was it Joker’s second defeat? Was it Arkham City’s salvation? Or was it something even more unnerving?

I would choose the latter. What ‘really’ happened at Arkham City’s end was the revelation that Harley Quinn (Joker’s partner in crime and romance) was pregnant. A pregnancy test turned up positive and Harley only has one man in her life and that’s her Sugar.

Arkham Knight takes place nearly one year after the events of City. Could this be the beginning of a new lineage of criminals in the making? Could Harley, who looks to be in perfectly fit condition be taking care of her own Joker Jr. on the side; raising him/her to become the next Clown Prince(s) of Crime? Only time will tell.
