Gearbox Software announced during Sony’s Paris Games Week show that its beta for the multiplayer shooter Battleborn, scheduled to take place in 2016 before the game’s release, will arrive on PS4 first. It will be an open beta available for all platforms eventually but if you have a PS4, you get first pick. Check out some gameplay for the different modes below.
Competitive multiplayer in Battleborn includes Capture, wherein you capture and hold objectives, fending off enemies; Meltdown, a MOBA-esque mode where you guide minions into the center of the map and gain points; and Incursion, where teams and their minions work together to destroy the opposing base.
The technical test for Battleborn is also out on September 29th at 5 PM GMT. It will offer Meltdown competitive play and a story mission “The Algorithm” with 15 Heroes to play with. You’ll need to RSVP to the technical test though.
