Every game about heroes needs a game about villains and with a cast as diverse as the one in Gearbox Software’s Battleborn, Rendain is more than suitable as a worthy antagonist. The arrogant overlord is revealed in a new trailer today, discussing his purpose and calling out the citizens of the last star before their annihilation. Check it out below.

Battleborn features single-player, co-op and competitive modes, mixing shooting mechanics with MOBA-like leveling up. In the single-player and co-op, players will take control of 25 different heroes in an effort to stop Rendain from destroying the universe’s last star. Each hero has their own unique play style and abilities, and the Helix System will allow you to customize those abilities to your liking.

Currently undergoing a technical test, Battleborn will release on February 9th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Will you be picking it up? Let us know in the comments below.
