Battlefield 1 All Kit Weapons Shouldn’t Be Expected At Launch – DICE

Sidearms are confirmed though.

Battlefield 1

DICE’s Battlefield 1 has wrapped up the most successful beta in the studio (and publisher EA’s history) with more than 13 million players. As the game nears release, DICE has teased some information on all kit weapons and their presence.

As per Battlefield Bulletin on Twitter, “Don’t expect to see all kit-weapons (except sidearms) in #BF1 ‘at least at launch’, says Lars Gustavsson.” All kit weapons are essentially weapons that can be used with any class. Over the years, DICE expanded the selection from sidearms to include Designated Marksman Rifles or DMRs, carbines and whatnot.

With Battlefield 1, it seems that sidearms regardless of their respective factions will be usable by all kits. The “at least at launch” portion could indicate other weapons joining shortly thereafter or something else. The presence of a winky face at the end of the original tweet doesn’t exactly help speculation.

Battlefield 1 is out on October 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
