Battlefield 1 In The Name of the Tsar, Battlefield 4 Final Stand Currently Free

Xbox One and PS4 players can add these DLC packs to their libraries for free.

Update: Battlefield 1’s In The Name of the Tsar is now free on Origin. Battlefield 4’s Final Stand can be found free here on Origin.

After releasing Battlefield 1’s They Shall Not Pass DLC and Battlefield 4’s Dragon’s Teeth DLC for the low, low price of free earlier in May, EA have announced some new free DLC packs for both games. For Battlefield 1 players, In The Name of the Tsar is available free on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.

With a new faction (Russian Army), six maps and numerous new weapons, In The Name of the Tsar is one of the better expansions for Battlefield 1. It’s oddly not free for PC but that could be pending an update on the Origin store so keep checking back.

As for Battlefield 4 players, they receive Final Stand which contains four new maps, two new weapons, five new attachments, and four new vehicles. It has a more futuristic bent, echoing the earlier Battlefield 2142. Pick it up on PlayStation Store and Xbox Store now.

Once these expansions have been added to a game library, they’re yours to keep forever. Not a bad deal, especially with Battlefield 5 to be revealed on May 23rd and released in October for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
