Battlefield 4 Receives World Cup Easter Egg

After Independence Day, DICE’s Battlefield 4 is now busy celebrating the World Cup. The development team has sneaked in a brand new Easter Egg which allows players to participate in a football game.

Well, sort of. It’s essentially a large football field complete with a ball on the Caspian Border Map. If you score a goal, fireworks go off just like in the actual World Cup. Sort of. Now the question remains: Which side will be Germany and Argentina? Is it just the side that wins by default?

Regardless, it’s interesting to see DICE sneaking in new Easter Eggs every time something significant happens. Battlefield 4 will be receiving a new DLC in the form of Dragon’s Teeth which adds new maps, weapons and a brand new game mode. The DLC will go live today for Battlefield Premium subscribers so stay tuned for more information when that happens. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.
