Battlefield 4 To Launch October End in North America, Will Feature Dynamic Maps

"Levolution" to provide sandbox style mission layouts.

EA recently announced that their upcoming first person shooter Battlefield 4 will be launching October 29th 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.

Furthermore, speaking to Eurogamer, the publisher stated that it will be arriving on November 1st 2013 in the UK for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC – next gen console releases will be determined as their releases are narrowed down for that country.

Also, in a post on GameStop, a new feature of Battlefield 4 was apparently leaked, called “Levolution”. It has since been removed but Reddit copy pasted the description given.

“You’ve never seen a war like this. Just when you thought you had the lay of the land, Battlefield 4 introduced Levolution, a brand new way to affect the landscape in real-time using interactive elements. Can’t hit that guy behind cover? Destroy his cover! Feel like that building is a modernist eyesore in what is clearly a Victorian-inspired village? Enhance your favorite architectural styles with TNT!”

Battlefield 4 (2)

“Featuring new weapons, a new war, and a slew of new gameplay, Battlefield 4 brings a whole new sense of realism to the way you battle in the campaign and online multiplayer.

“The new sandbox-style mission layouts let you decide how to accomplish your missions. Pick up a jet and take your battle to the skies, or pilot an APC full of buddies and take your war straight to the enemy. Snipe silently from the hills or charge in firing a machine gun and yelling your favorite classic rock song. We recommend ‘Highway to Hell.'”

Cheeky. Let’s see if the destruction is anything like DICE’s Bad Company series, with the sandbox style more akin to Halo and less like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s FOB Spectre missions.
