Tides of War
To be fair, even before DICE and EA finally removed many of the pay-to-win elements from Star Wars Battlefront 2, the developer was handling its Seasons pretty well. Battlefield 5 will have something similar in Tides of War but things will be progression-based, relying on cosmetics and unlocks to tide over players. Tides of War: Overture in December will bring Vehicle Cosmetics, Tank Battles in Belgium, the Practice Range and The Last Tiger War Story. Will this be enough to sustain fans? Will the quality be consistent enough, especially when the same fans are used to a selection of maps and gadgets in DLCs with the Premium Pass? That remains to be seen.
