That’s a really big jump.

Battlefield 5 has been out for a bit now, a little over half a year, and those who are consistently playing may find themselves at a bit of a progression wall by now. It’s a natural thing to happen to any ongoing online service game that employs RPG-like mechanics (which is basically everything nowadays). Well, EA and DICE will address that in an upcoming update, which will see the level cap get a pretty significant increase.

Via the game’s Reddit page, DICE announced that the cap would go from 50 all the way to 500, a pretty significant increase. For those past rank 50, every other 50th rank will see you get a promotion, and levels in-between will give you Company Coin, and you will repeat that until you get all the way to 500.

Battlefield 5 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The level increase will come with the “latter” part of Tides of War Chapter 4: Defying the Odds.
