Battlefield Hardline

EA recently held a financial call for announcing its second quarter results for the fiscal year 2015 and announced that Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline would be releasing on March 17th in North America and March 19th in Europe.

But that’s not all. DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront also has a release date as it will be out during the Holiday season in 2015. This means it will arrive close to Christmas, with more information on the game to be revealed in Spring 2015.

After Hardline, there won’t be another Battlefield game until Holiday 2016. This will allow EA to “have a major first-person shooter title each year” according to CFO Blake Jorgensen.

Other key details from the financial call include a reported net revenue of $1.22 billion with revenue for FIFA, Maddden and NHL Ultimate Team up by 96 percent year on year; more than 1.9 billion hours logged by players on PC; over 155 million active mobile users; and 40 million monthly active users for its mobile sports titles, up a staggering 250 percent year on year. What are your thoughts on the above release dates though? Let us know in the comments.
