Bayonetta 3’s Development Coming Along Well, Says PlatinumGames

“We’re all very excited about what we’re doing on that game.”

Bayonetta 3 was announced as a Nintendo Switch exclusive last year, but we haven’t actually seen or heard of it much since. Of course, this happens with a fair few games Nintendo announces early, such as what happened with Metroid Prime 4, but for many fans of the series, the silence can be reason enough to get antsy.

Though they shouldn’t be. Speaking at the Bitsummit Roadshow: Tokyo (via DualShockers), PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba shared an update on the status of the game’s development, pointing out that it is coming along well.

“It’s nice to be able to tell you that everything is going very, very well. We’re all very excited about what we’re doing on that game,” they said.

That said, that was really all that we heard about Bayonetta 3. We didn’t get any new screenshot or video, so I imagine we’ll have to wait for The Game Awards, or the next Nintendo Direct, to have a hope of getting a new sneak peak at the game. Until that happens, however, there’s always the first two Bayonetta games, which are both out now and playable on the Switch.
