Bethesda’s Game of Thrones Project Leaks

Game of Thrones, from the makers of Skyrim?

Posted By | On 28th, Aug. 2017

Around 2011, fantasy saw a big boom in mainstream pop culture, which ultimately came down to two highly successful properties that took off around the same time- HBO’s Game of Thrones series, and Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Game of Thrones of course went on to become a modern fixture of pop culture- but what if the makers of Skyrim also took a crack at Game of Thrones? What if the makers of the biggest, most popular fantasy game of all time took on one of the biggest fantasy properties of all time?

It may be happening, folks- there have been rumblings of a Bethesda made Game of Thrones game for a very long time, and now, it seems like US retailer Target has let the cat out of the bag a bit too soon- apparently, a listing for Bethesda’s Game of Thrones has shown up on their site (spotted by NeoGAF), which means… what? It’s such a hugely specific thing to list on the website, why would you do it? Unless it is real- and they just leaked it early by mistake.

Maybe we will get an announcement at The Game Awards. Please let us get an announcement at The Game Awards.
